About This Event

Developers, Designers, Insomniacs: do you have what it takes to build an app in 36 hours? Bring your laptops, phones, gadgets and dev tools to SocialDevCamp Chicago for the third annual hackathon challenge. Develop your own social app, present it and compete for your share of $10,000 in prizes. Winners will walk away with fame and fortune (results may vary).

We provide the space, Internet access, food and drinks. You bring the development tools and awesome ideas. Build something, have some food, compete for prizes, and meet some cool people along the way.

Did we mention prizes? Yes, $10,000 worth.

What you need to do next:

  1. Register for the contest and form teams at Hackatopia
  2. Tweet about the event using #SDCChiHack
  3. Come to the kickoff party at Noble Tree Coffee and Tea on Friday, August 26th at 7:00pm.
  4. Build something great in under 36 hours.

If you aren’t participating in the Hackathon, you can still come to the Kickoff Party on Friday and watch the presentations and awards presentation on Sunday morning at the conference.
